Our Story

Eden Villas began with a holiday, not a business plan.

Over 25 years ago, we travelled to Sri Lanka as a family and fell for every part of it: the food, the culture, the scenery, the people. For my wife, it stirred memories of Fiji, where she had spent part of her childhood. We left promising ourselves we would return.

On my first day back at work in Hong Kong, I discovered my role no longer existed and within a month we had moved to Sri Lanka.

A derelict property inside Galle Fort inspired our creativity. We had no real plan beyond restoring it to its former glory, but in the process, Eden Villas was born.

In the years since, Sri Lanka has weathered several disasters, both natural and man-made, and we are still here, with the same dedication to service we started with.

Meet Our Founder

Jack, the restless perfectionist behind Eden Villas, forever chases the small details that make a stay feel effortless.

After a commission in the British Army and a career in private banking, Jack left Hong Kong in 1999 for what was meant to be a gap year in Sri Lanka. He never left. Son, brother, husband, father and now grandfather, Jack believes home is where the heart is, and his is firmly in Sri Lanka.

He established Eden Villas over 25 years ago on a simple idea: that integrity and genuine service create unforgettable experiences. Today he leads a team that works closely with villa owners on the details that matter most, ensuring every stay reflects the values the company was built on.
